D. R. "BOB" MEREDITH is a native of Arizona, having been born and raised in Phoenix.  He has been training horses of one type or another for over 30 years.

He began his career while still in High School training and dealing in Polo Ponies.  At the same time, he started his rodeo career by riding bulls.  His success in High School as a bull rider propelled him to full-ride college scholarships where he continued on with his winning ways.  He also picked up his PRCA card at this time, and competed in  Professional Rodeos earning numerous rodeo wins, not only in bull riding but bareback riding as well.

It was not long after his college days that his father purchased a couple thoroughbred race horses, which started Bob's career as a race horse trainer.  For over 25 years he ran a public racing stable located primarily at Turf Paradise in Phoenix, and Prescott Downs in Prescott, Arizona.  He trained, conditioned, galloped and shod most of the horses under his care, and was listed among the leading trainers numerous times throughout this era.

Deb Meredith was born and raised in the ranching and farming community of Wheatland Wyoming.  Horses were always a part of her life, and some of her fondest memories come from helping her father on the ranches and in the feedlots that he operated.  She competed in high school rodeos in Wyoming, winning an all-around, runner up all around, and queen title, which also qualified her for the National High School Rodeo Finals all four years where she had top 10 finishes in all four events, barrel racing, pole bending, breakaway roping and cutting.  Her success in high school rodeo earned her full-ride scholarships which paid her way through college, where she also competed successfully.  It was during her college days that she picked up her WPRA card and started competing professionally.

In 1980 she moved to Arizona, and nicer weather, in order to spend more time training barrel horses and competing in rodeos.

Her career as a horse trainer and professional barrel racer has lasted over the years with numerous successes.  A few of the highlights she remembers best are on a mare named Triple Margarita in the mid 80's and a mare named Winging Away in the 90's and 2000's.  Both mares were successful during their futurity year, and both proceed on to win numerous events through their careers.  Outstanding among these wins are the 2000 Tucson, Arizona PRCA Tour Rodeo average,  and  the 2000 Turquoise Circuit finals rodeo, both on Winging Away.

In 1994 Bob & Deb moved to Casa Grande, Arizona and started concentrating more on training barrel horses.  Many of the horses they trained and rode were obtained through their contacts at the race track.  Bob also started taking in client horses to train, or fix, and he has earned a great reputation in training nice horses and being able to fit them to their riders.

Together they have spent long, rewarding hours teaching people and preparing horses in order to achieve a successful outcome for their clients and friends.
In 2007, Bob let up a little on riding so many horses, and started concentrating more on his shoeing.  He saw a lot of horses having soundness problems that were initiated through poor shoeing, and little by little started trying to help his clients by shoeing their horses.   As all good things can take on a life of their own, demand for his shoeing has grown to the point that he is spending much more of his time in this area, leaving most of the riding up to Deb.

In 2005 Deb's barrel mare, "Wings" had developed enough adverse soundness issues, that we decided to breed her. Dash Ta Fame  was, and still is,  the leading barrel horse sire in the nation, and Wings was bred to him.  In 2006 Wings of Fame  ("Roughy") was born.  Because of the outstanding quality of "Roughy" we have developed a long range goal of a breeding program revolving around him.  We are attempting to find the best brood mares we can find in order to cross run, turn around, and attitude into our foals.  We will be training and competing on "Roughy", and will be collecting and breeding him to our broodmares..

In the mean time, we are seeing  a lot of good qualities in the colts coming from our present brood mares,  Royal Me Quick. (Quickie) and Cathen Kisses..     Quickie's first foal for us, Nine O Corona, is already showing the size and has the breeding to make him of interest to the race horse people.  Both Royal Me Quick and Cathen Kisses are bred to WINGS OF FAME  for his first foals in 2010.

The Bard Arrow Horses breeding program is in its infancy stage, but keep an eye out for the horses wearing this brand as we expect a lot from them.
